The following link will take you to the Home Office website where you can read the official guidance from the Home Office to Chief Police Constables about how they should be administering the Firearms Act. It covers everything from the handling of applications and variations of certificates, through to gun seizures and appeals. Although the guidance is not part of the law, all police forces should be following it in their administration of the Firearms Act and its associated provisions.
