Sporting Shooting and the Law

Responding to numerous requests from members for advice, the National Gamekeepers’ Organisation (NGO) has just published a brand new edition of Sporting Shooting and the Law, a totally revamped 66-page booklet by the respected shooting writer, David Frost. The booklet brilliantly summarises all the laws that relate to firearms and shooting and it costs just £8.00. It is expected to prove invaluable to those struggling over certificate grants, renewals and restrictive conditions. So clear and accurate is David’s text that this edition has been endorsed by the Association of Chief Police Officers. It will be used by police forces, as well as by gamekeepers and shooters, throughout Britain. (The booklet dates back to the 1980’s, when was first published by the then British Field Sports Society). It covers Scotland, as well as England and Wales, and deals with deer stalking, rifles and knives as well as all shotgun shooting. Charles Nodder, the NGO’s political adviser says, “You simply could not have a better guide to the law. It is so clear and understandable and it is bang up to date. At just £8.00 there can be no excuse for anyone who needs to know the law on guns and shooting not getting a copy.”
