Wiltshire Chairman Brings Poaching Problems to the Local Force

This week Nick Stiff, the Chairman for the Wiltshire branch of the NGO and Tim Weston met Inspector Minty of Wiltshire Police. Inspector Minty is in charge of rural crime. We met in the meeting rooms in the Wilton Estate office and had a frank and useful conversation about the problems that gamekeepers are facing in the county. Rural crime is not considered a policing priority for Wiltshire even though 94% of the county is rural and only 6% urban. NGO speaks to food bloggers in top London resturant

  Last night I gave an informal talk to around 12 of London’s top food critics at Brasserie Le Blanc on Charlotte Street in the heart of the city. The audience was entirely urban based and judging from the unnecessary scarfs and very skinny jeans were proper city dwellers and would usually only see the countryside in pictures.   It was great to have been able to talk gamekeeping and the virtues of game meat to this audience who were then treated to a wonderful four course dinner of pigeon, mallard, pheasant and more
