New guidance issued today (Wednesday 9 September) by the Government due to the recent spike in coronavirus cases

At his press conference at 1600 today, the Prime Minister said more about the new 'Rule of Six' being introduced to counter the recent spike in coronavirus cases.

With certain exceptions, gatherings of more than six people, inside or outdoors, will be illegal in England from next Monday (14th September). The PM said that "organised sport" is one of the exceptions but we need to clarify exactly what that term includes before we can give definitive advice to members.

We are therefore continuing to work urgently and closely with other shooting and countryside organisations for clarity and for an outcome that can allow covid-safe shooting to continue.

As soon as the Government publishes the actual wording of its 'Rule of Six', we will update members as to the implications via the NGO website.
