Aegis Protect Shoot, formerly known as Side-by-Side Insurance, is specialist legal defence insurance for individuals involved in lawful shooting.
The cover is designed to help fund legal costs following the revocation of a firearms or shotgun certificate, where the policy terms are met. It is intended to support certificate holders where a revocation may affect their livelihood, reputation, standing within the shooting community and ability to continue lawful shooting.
Aegis Protect Shoot may be relevant to gamekeepers, shoot instructors, pest controllers, deer stalkers, shooting syndicates, registered firearms dealers, shooting clubs and others involved in lawful shooting. The brochure also explains that many traditional shooting insurance policies focus on public liability and may not respond fully to police or firearms licensing action.
The NGO is not selling, arranging, advising on or administering this insurance. Aegis Protect Shoot is managed and sold by QPI Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
