The National Gamekeepers Organisation is deeply concerned about the decision by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to ban shooting on public land. This could have long-lasting and detrimental impacts both economically and environmentally for Wales in the future.

A spokesman for the National Gamekeepers’ Organisation said, “The NGO utterly condemns the shock decision by NRW to ban shooting on Government land in Wales. It flies in the face of evidence which we and others presented and will have adverse effects on wildlife management and conservation.”

The NGO are making a full assessment of its implications and will be issuing further advice in due course.
