Valued individuals are currently being nominated for the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust’s two annual awards, but the deadline for anyone who hasn’t yet submitted a nomination is looming: 21 June 2022.

The Lady Scott Award, first presented in 2010, is presented to a partner, spouse, family member or friend. The GWT Young Gamekeeper of the Year is awarded to young family members who give so much support, helping with a range of tasks.

Both awards were instigated by GWT Trustee Lady Mary Scott, who wanted to recognise the incredible support, hard work, and investment of time people in gamekeeping professions often receive from family members and close friends.

Recipients are nominated by members of the gamekeeping professions, shoots and estates, and nominations are reviewed by a panel of GWT Trustees.

Nominations should be sent by email or post to the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust: enquiries@thegamekeeperswelfaretrust.com Keeper’s Cottage, Tanfield Lodge, West Tanfield, Ripon, North Yorkshire, HG4 5LE.
